The Official Rules of Connection Manager 3.

1.        Each team will start with £45 Million Pounds in which they can bid for players during an auction . A minimum of 14 players must be purchased during the auction.         Players may purchase as many players as they wish, but when they submit their squad it must contain only 14 players. The Manager function will be obsolete during this league and will not count towards points.

2.        The amount of money spent in the auction will be tracked and this will be left to the club to spend during the rest of the season.

3.        The season will run until the 28th of December. This will allow roughly around 20 games.

4.        Players will be picked from a pool of Scottish and English Premier League players.

5.        Players left from the auction will be available throughout the season in designated transfer windows.

6.        Transfers between clubs will also be allowed, during the transfer window. A certain amount of trust will be needed here. Players joining together to form a super         team.

7.        Only two transfers between teams are allowed.

8.        Extra players entering the pool (i.e. Transfers from abroad, lower leagues) will be added to the transfer window.

9.        Detailed information on the transfer windows will be available at a later date.

10.     The scoring system will be based on the SKY SPORTS.

11.     A minimum amount of players are needed within the squad.

  The rest can be chosen at random.

NB: A 'clean sheet' is defined as the player not conceding a goal for the whole time they are on the pitch, this time must be at least 75 minutes.
A 'saved' penalty means when the penalty taker does not score a goal. Any goal scored in open play as a result of a dead ball start will count as a normal goal.
If a player misses a penalty (see below) and the opposition goalkeeper is on the pitch, the Goalkeeper will receive a 'saved' penalty.

If a player receives both yellow cards and a red card, he will only be deducted points for the red card.

13.     A 4-4-2 formation is compulsory. None of your filthy foreign habits here.

  14.     Squad Rotation. (Sexy Football)

A starting 11 must be submitted every Friday by 4.45pm.

This must be mailed to both Terence Stupple and Neal McCulloch.

If no team is submitted then last weeks team will be used.

For the first week each manager must submit a squad of 14 and that weeks team.

That team will stand for exactly one week. Any games played during that time will be with that team. (I.E. You can not change your team for midweek games.)

Defenders must play in defence, full backs at fullback etc.

  16.     Make sure team selection is correct before e-mail ‘the management’ muck ups will not be tolerated.

 

Rules of the Auction.

 1.      You have 45 million to spend. NO more (This includes Forrest and Jones)

  2.      Bids must be a minimum of  £250’000

  3.      Bids must be a minimum of  £250’000 increments.

  4.      You may buy as many players as you like from as many teams as you like but you must have a minimum of 14.

  5.      ANY player who spends more than £45 million will have players removed randomly until the value of the entire squad is under £45 million, there will also be 10 points deducted for each million over the 45 million. (Again this includes Scoot)

  6.   Graeme Gilkes is not in charge and is not allowed to moan when he doesn’t get his way.

 7.      Players will come from five different pools.  These are ‘Keepers, Full backs, Central Halves, Midfielders, and Goal Scoring Superstar Heroes.

  8.   Anybody wishing to purchase Harold Brattbakk will be able to get him from the ‘Big Norwegian Donkey’ category.

  9.      The Auction will finish when all players have been bid for.

  10.   Money left over will not remain with the team and can't be used later in the transfer window.

  11.   Teams and Squads must be submitted by 12 noon on Friday 30th July, as we have games the next day. Please include your team name.

  12.   Running totals will be kept for each team so we know how much you’ve spent.
